Here We Go Again!

Once again it seems there is an issue with Covid so could we please remind people not to visit the simulator if you have any symptoms and if possible maybe take a lateral flow test before visiting although this isn’t essential it helps to keep everyone safe.

We had a good run up to Christmas with plenty of people treating their friends and family to the chance to enjoy some time seeing what goes on on the other side of the flight deck door so we are expecting to be quite busy. That coupled with people needing to cancel due to isolating or waiting for test result we would appreciate it if you can remain flexible and keep in touch via email before your booking.

For safety we are reducing the number of visits each day to enable us to sanitise the simulator between visits which again is for everyone’s peace of mind.

Happy new year!

Back To Normal!

That’s it we are all caught up now, the backlog is cleared! If your voucher is over 12 months old you will need to check to see if Into The Blue will still cover it before booking in with us.

As the airlines seem to be getting back to normal we are getting ready for the summer 2022 recruitment drive and are expecting to be seeing more commercial pilots or would be commercial pilots coming to the sim to hone their skills before going for airline interviews or sim refresher courses. Before you decide where to go for practice get in touch with us we have a great deal of experience at helping people land a job or pass the sim details; we have most companies profiles and you will be sat next to another commercial pilot.

Business As Usual!

We are returning to normal and taking bookings again as we are all caught up with last years backlog.

If you are interested in either getting a gift voucher or treating yourself then contacting us by email in the first instance is the best way to go.

We are also mainlining the 20% discount for the next couple of weeks.

If you are a BALPA member and have recently been made redundant, or you just want to come and get some practice before you return to work then we are here to help.

Christmas Discount!

For a limited period we are offering our standard 1 hour session at a discount price by knocking £20 of the usual price!

To book simply drop us an email (jetsimulatoruk@gmail.com) with your contact details and we will get back to you and your voucher will be winging its way to you in no time at all!

Give the best! Our simulator is not only used by professional pilots it is staffed and owned by professional pilots. This isn’t a ‘fly by night’ outfit with people parading around in uniforms pretending to be airline pilots! We don’t use phoney marketing such as using airline logos and names. You will be sat alongside someone who knows what they are talking about because they have flown a real aircraft not just a simulator, most of our instructors are either currently flying the 737 or have flown it in the past.

So bring your most difficult questions with you, this is the ultimate gift for the aviation enthusiast or just the curious, find out what goes on behind the locked door!

Getting Ready For Takeoff

After the 4th July we are expecting to be able to start operations again.

We are putting in place procedures for cleaning the simulator after each use and masks or face coverings will be worn when in the simulator as well as hand sanitizer being available for use in our office and the simulator.

If you still don’t feel safe don’t worry we are happy to wait for now but if you have an Into The Blue voucher we suggest you speak to them regarding extending the validity of the voucher.

If you would like to contact us email is the best way as at the moment we aren’t making trips to the office.

All the best and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

It is important that as per the government advice you should not make or attend a booking if you have any of the following symptoms. Simply call us and we will reschedule:

COVID-19 related screening questions to be asked of clients ahead of their appointment, including:

– Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
– Do you have a high temperature?
– Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell?

Don’t Panic!

In these unprecedented times I am sure the last thing on your list of things to do is sitting in a simulator, although the escape and change of scenery might be a welcome thing!

Anyhow as with many businesses we are closed right now but as soon as the government says we can reopen we will.

With regards to vouchers; if you are worried your voucher is going to expire and it is one we have issued give us an email and we will happily extend it by an appropriate amount. If you have an Into The Blue issued voucher please contact them in the first instance.

Stay safe!

Busy Year!

Well that’s 2019 over and done with! It has been a steady year at the simulator, not our busiest but that fine, unlike some operators this is as much a hobby as a source of income. We have always been more about sharing the airline experience with the public than trying to make a profit from people curiosity.

We have met lots of new people who have left the building with big smiles on their faces and some questions answered, and that is where we differ from most of the simulators in the area. You are sitting next to a pilot and mostly someone who makes their living flying. We can show you what really happens on the flight deck of an airliner not what someone thinks happens.

We have also helped a few pilots get their first jobs as well as some very experienced pilots get new jobs after Thomas Cook went out of business. Happy landings to all of you!

We are looking forward to welcoming those of you who were lucky enough to get a flight experience voucher for Christmas and sharing the joy that you will no doubt feel when you take control of our Boeing 737 NG airliner simulator!

Building Maintenance

We have just been told that the essential maintenance work that was due to be carried out during two weekends in May has been changed to the last two weekends in May.

This work includes there being no electricity to the building at all during the following dates: 19th – 21st May and also 26th – 29th May.

Unfortunately this is going to affect our program. We haven’t been able to contact all of our bookings to let them know of the interruptions so if you are booked in on these dates please call us to reschedule.

We are very sorry for this disappointing news but unfortunately this is entirely beyond our control.

Software and Hardware Updates

Its been a busy week at the simulator; late nights and long days as we have been catching up on planned and some unplanned maintenance!

When it comes to software to run simulators there are several options as there is with the hardware. Dual linked fully adjustable rudders and linked control columns are what sets the Jetsimulator apart from most of the others out there however with complex controls comes complex maintenance requirements so we had planned on some downtime to get this done before the real work of providing realistic airliner flight deck experiences begins.

We are testing several new options for software too which involves hours of hacking away at keyboards, calibrating flight controls and comparing figures to those for the real aircraft. You can be sure though when you come to visit your aircraft will be signed off and ready to go!

Gift Ideas!

With Christmas just around the corner why not treat the aviation enthusiast in your life to a gift that will be unique? We can send you one of our special gift vouchers with a personalised message from you along with the Jetsimulator ID card as a memento of an unforgettable experience.

Or perhaps go for membership of our Captains club, which will entitle the holder to 50% discount for the next year! This discount wont be around after Christmas so hurry!
